18-19 Juin 2024 : Worskhop du SpaceOps - cf. ci-dessous
CNES, the French Space Agency, will host the next SpaceOps workshop scheduled to take place June 18th-20th, 2024, at "Cité de l’Espace" Toulouse, France.
This biannual event, which takes place in between the SpaceOps conferences, aims to explore new subjects, new paradigms, new issues related to space systems operations. It is indeed a question of bringing together a few experts to discuss the relevance of introducing new topics, new problematics, and new challenges within the scope of the international space operations community.
For this next edition, the proposed themes are the following:
- New Ops Paradigms (new kind of missions & ops concepts such as Swarm mission, constellations, formation flying ops, new ops approaches…)
- New Solutions for Ops (GSaaS, free public tools, IT world, new space communications, cheaper faster…)
- Ops Challenges for Exploration (mainly Lunar & Mars)
- Zero Debris Approach: current capabilities & future needs (congestion and debris avoidance, lessons learned from coordinated collision avoidance ops, space-based observation…)
- Ops of In-Orbit Servicing missions (lessons learned from in-flight missions, challenges for future missions, including active debris removal…)
Selected themes will host 4-5 presentations, contributing to thematic round table discussions. The workshop targets 50-70 participants on-site, with 20-30 invited speakers.
The call for ideas of presentations is currently opened. If you are interested to submit an idea, please submit an 1/2 page abstract in the STAR system : STAR - The due date is very closed = Mid April 2024
The on-site attendance will be reserved to presenters and spaceops representatives.
But, for the 1st time, it will be possible to follow the workshop via a remote access that will be proposed by the COMET OPS (only the first two days), enabling participation and interaction via chat. This event will be open on registration from beginning of May.
