The
objective
of
this
workshop
is
to
present
research
activities
concerning
Earth-space
radiowave
propagation.
It
will
address
the
following
applications:
NTN
(Non
Terrestrial
Networks
including
mega-constellations),
mobile
communications
for
5G
and
6G,
GNSS
(Global
Navigation
Satellite
Systems),
remote
sensing
and
radio-occultation.
The
targeted
frequency
bands
range
from
HF
to
EHF,
that
is
from
3 MHz
to
300 GHz.
Issues
related
to
standardization,
e.g.
for
ITU-R
(International
Telecommunications
Union
–
Radiocommunications
sector)
and
new
frequency

The JUICE Lunar-Earth Gravity Assist: from Inception to Completion

August
2024,
the
JUICE
spacecraft
performed
a
very
special
manoeuvre:
the
first-ever
Lunar-Earth
gravity
assist
(LEGA)
manoeuvre.
The
concept
was
invented
at
ESOC
in
Summer
2013.
In
a
first
phase,
the
potential
of
the
concept
was
analysed
in
detail
by
mission
analysis,
and
its
navigability
was
carefully
studied
to
ultimately
include
it
in
the
JUICE
baseline.
